A Pirate Named Rose

The Crown of Thorns series went through many revisions before finally being released--6 years worth of writing. The first story I had for Rose was quite different than the one she is in now.

Originally, I had Rose teleport onto a pirate ship where she was tended by a healer, and would land in Nirshiri.

She also had a very different appearance. Instead of blonde, I had her being a redhead, and had thought of her being a Ann bonnie type of character, sailing back to Veran with a fleet of pirate ships, but in around the middle of the book, I scrapped the idea and completely rewrote her story!

Quite a long ways she has come since then, but I do wonder what she might have turned out like had she taken up the role as the Pirate Queen.
